Police appeal for witnesses after Ashdown Road assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers were assaulted in Ashdown Road, Reigate, last night (Monday 6 November).

Officer were called to reports of the incident just before 7pm.

Surrey Police said earlier this afternoon:

“The victims, a boy and a girl, were attacked by four individuals carrying metal bars.

Later on that evening, just before 8pm, we received reports of a car fire on Alexander Road which is believed to be deliberate. Surrey Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and no one near the car suffered any injuries.

A 33-year-old woman from Reigate and a 17-year-old boy from Horley were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, they remain in police custody.

It is believed that these two incidents are connected, and an investigation continues.”
