Beer festival over Easter weekend at The Hatch

The Hatch pub, Redhill, is holding a Surrey v. Sussex “beer-off” over the long Easter weekend (2018).

Surrey beers are available from Godstone, Ascot, Tillingbourne and Surrey Hills breweries, as well as Reigate’s own Pilgrim Brewery.

Sussex is represented by beers from Darkstar, High Weald, Top Notch, Hepworth and Kissingate breweries.

The mini-festival has been arranged by Anthony Muirhead, who purchased The Hatch last year.

As well as a place to enjoy a pint, Anthony has made food a focus of the pub, with a frequently changing menu.  He says he’s had a positive response since opening the doors in October:

“People seem to be really happy that the pub has re-opened.

The food has gone down very well, but we also have a very extensive wine list that customers have enjoyed exploring.

Not to mention a strong real ale following, with our changing real ales.”

More information on The Hatch – located on the A25 between Reigate and Redhill – can be found on its website or Facebook page.

There’s also an Easter egg hunt on the Saturday and Sunday, with alcohol prizes for the adults.
