Four Hops, the new craft beer shop in Reigate’s West Street, opened on Saturday 20 May.
The business sells craft beers from micro-breweries in the UK and Ireland. Customers are able to taste beer, which can then be purchased to drink on or off the premises.
Scheduled tasting events will be held in the basement, which is expected to be ready shortly.
The shop had a busy first weekend, aided by the many beer lovers in town for the Reigate Tunnel Beer Festival – and who were looking for somewhere to continue their day after the festival’s stocks ran out early.
Martin Barfoot, owner of Four Hops, said on Facebook:
“Thanks to everyone who visited us over the weekend, it was a fantastic start to bringing craft beer to Reigate, the shop was jammed packed on Saturday from start to finish!
Sunday was more relaxed but still great to chat to the locals and discover what beers they like.”
As well as the business being one of the beer festival’s sponsors, Martin also provided beers to taste at a foodie pop-up evening in the town earlier this month, put together by local businesses.
