There’s a chance this Friday (2 February 2018) to be a caped crusader and help fight childhood cancer, by wearing a George and the Giant Pledge cape.
Local parents Vicki and James Woodall set up George and the Giant Pledge last year, to raise money for the Royal Marsden cancer charity. Their son, George, has been undergoing treatment for a rare form of cancer.
The campaign has raised over £600,000 for the charity, towards a target of £1 million.
Friday’s initiative invites you to don a George and the Giant Pledge cape and wear it to show your support for the doctors, nurses and children fighting cancer. Pictures can be tweeted to @GiantPledge.
To donate or participate, capes are available in the mornings this week at Reigate and Redhill railway stations, and at Gerrards in the High Street in Reigate.
More information is on the poster below and the George and the Giant Pledge Facebook page.
Donations can be also made via the campaign’s JustGiving webpage.
