CCTV images released in connection with racially aggravated assault in Reigate

CCTV images released by Surrey Police


Surrey Police have released CCTV images of a woman they’d like to identify in connection with a racially aggravated assault in Reigate at lunchtime on Wednesday, 17 October 2018.

The incident happened at the post office inside Martin’s in the High Street, around 1.30pm.

Officers are investigating a report of racially abusive comments being made to staff and abusive comments being shouted at an elderly member of the public.

Police would like to identify the woman in the images as she may have information that could assist with their enquiries.

Officers believe that the woman was wearing a pink tunic.

Anyone with any information, or who saw someone matching the description in the shop, is asked to call Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference number PR/45180111083.  Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police add that victims or witnesses of hate crime can contact them on 101, or in an emergency should dial 999.  Alternatively, if they don’t want to talk to police, partner agency Stop Hate UK is on 0800 138 1625.
