A new day centre for adults with a learning disabilities is coming to Reigate in September.
Dayspace currently runs a centre in Caterham, with sessions that include music, art, cooking, dance and self-advocacy.
With customers coming from across the borough, and a waiting list, the business has now chosen Reigate for a second site, at 57 Albert Road North – near Nutley Lane.
The building is currently being redeveloped to create activity areas, as well as access for users with more challenging physical needs.
Dayspace says it takes pride in getting to know customers’ individual needs so as to offer quality sessions tailored to help them fulfil their potential. Regular events include art exhibitions and visits from external services such as “Pets as Therapy”.
Free tasters are available across all sessions.
September will see not only the opening of the new centre, but 20 years of Millsted Care, the company behind Dayspace and which also runs two residential homes in Reigate.
