A new burger restaurant has opened at The Pendleton, the pub at the St. John’s end of Pendleton Road.
Owners Stewart Dunkley and Nicholas Mason already have one other branch, in Purley.
The two friends’ philosophy at Dexter Burger is Soho-style dining, with an emphasis on quality, as their website explains:
“Dexter Burger predominantly uses grass-fed, rare-breed Dexter beef, free range chickens and eggs and outdoor reared pork in our menu.
We support small businesses and artisan producers to bring you high quality produce to create and accompany your meal.”
The beef is minced on-site.
Since opening on Tuesday 27 June at the vacant pub, the new location has quickly proved popular.
The menu includes beef and chicken burgers, as well as a vegetarian option, with customers able to either dine-in or collect as a take-away.
Children’s menus are also available.
Opening hours are:
- Monday: closed
- Tuesday to Thursday: 3pm – 10pm
- Friday to Saturday: 12 noon – 10.30pm
- Sunday: 12 noon – 9pm
