Biff is not like other dogs. He doesn’t do dog stuff like weeing on lampposts, scratching his fleas or drinking out of the toilet.
No, Biff likes moonlight and music and walking on his tiptoes. You see, Biff thinks he’s a ballerina. One day, he pops along to ballet class and that’s when the trouble begins…
“Dogs Don’t Do Ballet” is being put on in Priory Park this summer by theatre company Little Blue Monster, in association with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council.
The show, based on the picture book by Anna Kemp and Sara Ogilvie, includes songs, foot-tapping tunes, and fabulous puppets.
The council says children 3+ will love the funny tale, but adults will have lots of fun too.
Shows take place on Sunday 13 August 2017 at 1pm and 4pm, with each lasting an hour. Ticket prices are £10.50, and there’s a family ticket for up to four people for £38.
The Harlequin Theatre are running the bookings – there’s a webpage and the number is 01737 276500.
Councillor Dr Lynne Hack, Deputy Leader and Executive Member for Greenspaces, said:
“We want to make the most of the beautiful green spaces our borough has to offer, and are very pleased to be bringing children’s outdoor theatre to Priory Park.
The show is a great summer holiday activity, and promises to be a real treat for local children.”
Bill Davies, Artistic Director at Little Blue Monster, said
“Little Blue Monster has been creating magical outdoor theatre for family audiences for nearly 20 years, and this summer’s offering promises to have everybody up on their feet and dancing in the aisles. It’s a great show, selling fast, so book your tickets now.”
