This year’s Heritage Open Days in Reigate & Banstead will take place Thursday 7 – Sunday 10 September 2017.
A wide range of historic locations across the borough will be open for free, with activities including tours, trails, walks and music.
The theme this year is transport, with a number of the events tailored to that.
The Town Hall in Reigate, open on Saturday 7 September, 11am – 3pm, will have displays tracing the history of transport in the borough including the 120 years of Finch’s Cycles, who are based in the town. There’ll also be entertainment, talks and a history hunt activity pack for children.
With so much going on at venues across the borough, it’s best to have a flick through the brochure – an electronic version is available via the Reigate Society website. Details are also on the Heritage Open Days website.
Heritage Open Days is a national initiative, with this year’s local effort co-ordinated by the Reigate Society, Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and participating venues.
