Borough elections are taking place today, Thursday 2 May 2019, for Reigate & Banstead Borough Council.

The council has posted the following useful information on Facebook:

▪️ This year is an all-out election in Reigate & Banstead. This means that you can vote for three candidates in your ward. Instead of checking one box, you need to check three. You can find out who is standing in your ward on our website here: https://bit.ly/2DGK00A

▪️ Polling stations are open from 7am-10pm.

▪️ Your polling station may have changed due to the new borough ward boundaries. You can find your polling station on your polling card or take a look on our website: https://bit.ly/2GIFLCc

▪️The deadline for us to receive postal votes is 10pm on the 2 May. Have you done yours yet? If you need help to complete your postal vote pack, just watch our short video here: https://bit.ly/2WqBcmE

▪️ Have you lost your poll card? Not to worry! You don’t need it to vote [today].

▪️You can take your assistance dog into the polling station with you. Plus, your carer or support worker can help you to cast your vote if you need them to. All polling stations have ramps, wheelchair accessible booths, large print ballot papers and staff on hand to provide assistance to anyone who needs it.

▪️ The Presiding Officer at the polling station can help you to cast your vote if you need them to. Just ask.

▪️If you are taking your furry friend with you, make sure you share your picture with us! Please do not take any pictures or selfies when inside the polling station, this is not allowed.”
