Knights Haberdashery has completed its move to 27, Lesbourne Road, Reigate, with an official opening on Saturday 1 July.
The business relocated there a couple of months ago, having initially been based at the back of La Femme in the High Street.
Jane Waby and Nina Redman started the enterprise in 2016, after the closure of the Knights department store in Bell Street where they worked.
Michael Knight, a former owner of Knights, gave his blessing for them to carry on using the name, and he was on hand at this month’s opening to toast the new premises, along with other well-wishers.
Jane and Nina said:
“We are overjoyed to be in our new home in Lesbourne Road and custodians of this beautiful building, a former dairy with listed Edwardian tiling.
Our traditional shop complements the history, stocking haberdashery, knitting and sewing supplies.
We offer social activities of knit and natter, and sewing clubs, as well as an ever-expanding class programme in our workshop basement with cutting table and sewing machines.”
