A new family activity club, Busylizzy Reigate, was launched yesterday.

The Mayor of Reigate and Banstead, Cllr David Pay, cut the ribbon at the first class, Toddler Music, at Reigate Hill Golf Club.

Owners Jude Hurst and Helen Oates said of the first day’s classes: “We are delighted to have had such a successful first day of operations! Today has been the result of many months of hard work, so it is great to see local mums enjoying our classes in this wonderful venue. The feedback from our members has been great, and we look forward to delivering the rest of our exciting timetable over the coming week.”

Busylizzy say that each week they will provide over twenty different postnatal, baby and toddler classes, for 51 weeks of the year.  Each weekday will see at least one baby class, one “mummy fitness” class, and two toddler classes.

Initial venues, in addition to Reigate Hill Golf Club, are Holy Family Centre (Yorke Road) and Earlswood Common.

According to Busylizzy there will be a pay as you go option and a “pick ‘n mix” where customers can pay for a given number of classes each month. Busylizzy have emphasised flexibility, with the ability to make a booking to attend a class as little as 30 minutes ahead, using a smartphone app.

Busylizzy is a franchise, with clubs already operating in Guildford, Farnham and Woking.
