Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has launched a support group for local patients with pulmonary fibrosis (a range of conditions that lead to a build-up of scar tissue in the lungs).
Bonnie Koo, from the respiratory team at East Surrey Hospital, will lead the first meeting on Thursday 12 July, while Steve Jones, chair of “Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis”, will give a talk about the charity and how it is working to support patients.
Patients, relatives and friends are all invited to the meeting, where there will be time to have a chat over a cup of tea and get to know others in a similar situation.
Laura Bygrave, the support group coordinator, will also welcome attendees.
Anyone wanting to find out more should send an e-mail.
The first meeting is on Thursday 12 July 2018, 2-4pm at the Reigate Community Centre, 53 High Street, Reigate, Surrey RH2 9AE.
