Police want to identify man following Banstead robbery

Surrey Police have released CCTV images (above) of a man they’d like to identify in connection with a robbery in Banstead on Tuesday 7 August (2018).

Police say the victim, a man in his 20s, was delivering parcels on Hempshaw Avenue around 12.25pm when an aggressive man approached him and demanded the keys to his van.

The suspect is believed to have taken the keys out of the victim’s hands, before entering the Mercedes Vito van and driving off at speed in the direction of Manor Way.

Police describe the man they’d like to identify as white, late 20s, thin build, with a black beard and short black hair, and wearing a black t-shirt.
