£2000 was raised for the town’s Christmas lights at a recent Reigate Business Guild curry and quiz evening.
Teams from local businesses filled the ballroom at the Reigate Manor hotel, as 120 people tested their knowledge in eight rounds of questions.
Pilgrim Brewery were proclaimed the winners at the end of the evening, on Thursday 8 March.
The quiz was put together by Reigate Manor, also a guild member.
Jes Chandler, chair of Reigate Business Guild, said: “It was a very professionally run event, with great food and a lovely atmosphere in the room – well done and thanks to all involved.”
The guild, set up in 1991, has around 100 members ranging from large corporates to sole traders. It runs the annual Reigate Christmas Fayre, held on the first Saturday in December, where the Christmas lights, also arranged by the guild, are switched on.
