Tickets for the Reigate Charity Ball 2015 have gone on sale. The event will be held on 6 June 2015 at Old Reigatian Rugby Football Club, and is sponsored by Robert Leech Estate Agents.
The organisers say that “the aim is to have a fun evening while raising as much money as possible for three causes”. The charities listed are:
- St. Catherine’s Hospice (“a charity dedicated to providing specialised end of life care and support to local people, their families, friends and carers”)
- The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity (“a world-leading innovation centre who pioneer new treatments that save lives”)
- Pancreatic Cancer UK (“working hard to make a better future for pancreatic cancer patients, their families and friends”)
Full event details, including booking information, are on the organisers’ Facebook page. Tickets are £65 per person and are being sold as tables of eight. The organisers say the ticket price includes welcome drinks, a three course sit down dinner, live band and “some surprises along the way”.
Personal trainer Helen Delaney, of the organisers, said: “Hopefully like me you’ll agree that we are a lucky lot really. We live in a beautiful town with great schools; a wonderful sense of community and in the main, life is pretty darn good. For no reason other than this, I thought it would be nice to give something back to people who maybe aren’t so lucky. I have chosen three amazing charities to support this year and I hope you will support us in helping to raise as much money as possible for these worthwhile causes.”
Robert Leech Estate Agents, based in the High Street, are the sponsors of the ball. Wendi Leech, Director, said: “As a Reigate family run business, Robert Leech Estate Agents were delighted to have the opportunity to support the inaugural Reigate Charity Ball and its worthy causes. Most families will have been touched by cancer in some way, so this is our chance to contribute. We look forward to the first ball which we are sure will be very successful and many more to follow.”
