Detectives from East Surrey CID are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed a car being driven in an aggressive manner through Reigate as part of their burglary investigation.

Surrey Police say the incident occurred at around 6.20pm on Thursday 19 February 2015 when the car, a dark coloured hatchback, was pulling out of Doods Road and turning right on to Croydon Road. It is believed the car forced a white vehicle to brake hard and officers would like to trace the driver of this vehicle.

Investigating Officer Detective Constable Simon Evans, said: “This area of Reigate will have been busy around the time of this incident and although we believe the driver caused the occupants of a white vehicle to brake suddenly, we also believe they will have caused problems for other road users in the area.

“I would appeal to anyone who believes they saw this vehicle been driven aggressively and erratically as I believe it is connected to burglaries at properties in the Doods Road area.”

Four burglaries and a criminal damage offence occurred in this area around the time the car was seen.

Anyone who can assist officers with their investigation is urged to contact Surrey Police quoting reference 45150014184. Information can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
