Travel information has been published for the five-day Southern conductor strike due to take place next week, 8 – 12 August.

As in other recent strikes, Reigate will only be served by GWR trains, with no Southern services.

At Redhill there will be a limited Southern service as explained on the operator’s strike information webpage:

“A revised timetable [:] Southern and Gatwick Express service will operate between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport / Brighton. Thameslink services are expected to run to the normal timetable. Earlswood and Salfords stations will have no service. Coulsdon South, Merstham, Horley and Redhill will only be served at certain times of day.”

Timetables and other information, including ticket acceptance by other operators and compensation, are also displayed on that page.

Southern also recommends using its live running service before travelling.  It says the National Rail enquiries website will only be updated with the strike information “a few days” beforehand (at the time of writing it hasn’t been).

Talks between the RMT union and Govia Thameslink, which operates the Southern routes, are taking place.
