The new owner of the former Knights building is looking forward to restoring the property, but its future use has not yet been determined.
London-based St Dominics Properties Limited is the purchaser of the Bell Street site. Adam Coffer, a director, told reigate.uk:
“We are delighted to have acquired this property. We have an excellent track record for renovating and restoring historic buildings and this building is clearly in need of restoration and renovation. We look forward to breathing life back into the property. At this stage, we are working alongside the council to determine the most appropriate use for the building.”
The doors of Knights of Reigate were closed for the last time on Saturday 30 January, with the department store having had a presence in the town for over 130 years. The Bell Street building is Grade II listed. More on the closure can be found in our previous article.
