Counting in the #Reigate constituency is nearing completion - as you can see, a few tables have started packing up already. Declaration not far off #GE2019
Counting continues: about 35k votes counted, about 20k to go, says returning officer John Jory. Making good progress, he says. However, there's been no official change to the original estimate of 3am - 4am for declaration.
Just chatting to @JohnVincentLD , Lib Dem candidate, here at the #Reigate count. He is hopeful of second place (Labour took second in 2017).
Returning officer John Jory has just given out the turnout figure in the #Reigate constituency: 72%. (General Elections in Reigaet since 2010 have hovered around the 70% mark, so this time not significantly higher or lower.)
Chatted to UKIP candidate Julia Searle here at #Reigate count. She's pleased with the national results emerging as they are about achieving Brexit. She sees part of UKIP's future role as helping to ensure promises to the public are kept.
