The Boots store in Reigate High Street, including the pharmacy, has closed for the time being.

Signs on the doors say that uncollected prescriptions at the store have been moved to the Boots branch in the Belfry, Redhill.

The closure is temporary, with the nearest alternative pharmacies listed as Morrisons and Day Lewis (in Bell Street).

One of the signs (as of Saturday 28 March) says:  “Due to the current pandemic COVID-19 the company has taken the decision to close this store until further notice, for the safety of the public and staff.

“If you have a prescription here that is uncollected this will now be waiting for you at Boots Belfry, 9 High Street, Redhill, RH1 1RQ, tel. 01737 761037.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.  Any questions regarding an uncollected prescription please contact the number above.

“We understand that this a stressful time for everyone involved, however our staff will be working as hard as ever to ensure your prescriptions are ready to collect at Boots Belfry.

“Any new prescriptions will not come to this store.  They can be collected and fulfilled by Boots Belfry or another pharmacy of your choice.

“Any uncollected Boots.com orders will also be at Boots Belfry to collect.”

Details of the Belfry store can be found on the Boots store locator, and the borough council has a list of pharmacies across Reigate & Banstead.
