Local artists will be welcoming the public into their studios this June for Surrey Artists’ Open Studios 2018.

This year’s programme runs Saturday 2 June –  Sunday 17 June, with 164 studios taking part across Surrey – a tenth more than last year – with the work of over 275 individual artists showcased.

Jane McGibbon, co-ordinator of Surrey Artists’ Open Studios, said:

“This unique event offers an exciting opportunity to meet artists and makers in Surrey, to hear about and see first-hand their practice and to admire their work.

The artists taking part also offer ample opportunity to take part in workshops, and to meet fellow enthusiasts en route.

Whatever your interest – painting, printmaking, glass, ceramics, textiles, jewellery or sculpture –  SAOS is a brilliant opportunity to discover creative people who live and work in Surrey.”

There’ll also be the chance to buy artwork and enter a prize draw.

A special launch day on Saturday 2 June will see artists offer an extra range of activities to get the whole family inspired.

Details of participating studios – and trails – are on the event website which includes an interactive map showing which studios are open and when.
