The public should soon get the chance to try out Tony Tobin’s new restaurant, the Ranmore, based at Reigate Heath Golf Club.
A licensing application has been filed with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, giving opening times of Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday lunchtimes.
Golf club members have already been able to enjoy the new restaurant, with photos of the food appearing on the Ranmore’s Twitter account and Reigate Heath Golf Club’s Facebook page.
For the public, Tony says he is hoping to go live in mid-July, but will announce a firm date on social media.
The licensing application, in the name of Tony’s new family venture ToTo Events, includes plans that show the first-floor restaurant seating 40 diners.
The golf club is located off Flanchford Road, offering commanding views of the heath and local countryside.
Tony, known to TV viewers from the BBC’s “Ready Steady Cook”, previously ran the Dining Room in Reigate’s High Street for 25 years until the restaurant’s closure in 2017.
