Appeal after jewellery worth £22,000 stolen in Reigate town centre ‘distraction burglary’

Surrey Police have released CCTV images of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with a ‘distraction burglary’ in Reigate town centre on Saturday 18 July.

During the incident at Philip Lloyd Jewellers, diamonds and jewellery worth an estimated £22,000 was taken.

Surrey Police said in a statement on Monday 10 August: “Do you recognise this woman? We are looking to speak to her in connection with a distraction burglary in Reigate town centre.

“Officers were called to Philip Lloyd Jewellers in Reigate town centre following a distraction burglary which took place on Saturday, 18 July.

“The female suspect entered the store at around 4pm and made off with diamonds and jewellery, estimated to be worth around £22,000, from behind the counter after distracting the shop assistant.

“We are looking to speak to the woman in these CCTV images in connection with this burglary.”
