A sell-out quiz night at Reigate Manor hotel, on Reigate Hill, raised nearly £2,000 for local charity Stripey Stork.

The event, attended by 120 quiz-goers on 21 March, included a mid-quiz curry, a raffle, and the auctioning of a rugby ball signed by England’s Ben Cohen.

The hotel has held other quizzes for good causes. Giles Thomas, group operations director at the Manor Collection, said:

“We really do enjoy putting on these quiz nights: the whole team gets involved by writing the quiz, hosting and scoring.

It’s a great evening’s entertainment and it’s fantastic to be able to have the space to hold such large quiz nights and raise so much money for wonderful charities such as Stripey Stork”.

Stripey Stork was set up in 2013 by local mums. It collects donated clothes, toys and equipment, checks them, and then sends them to local families in need via support agencies.
