Nando’s will open its new Reigate restaurant shortly before the Easter weekend, on Wednesday 17 April 2019, a spokesperson has said.
The chicken chain will occupy the former premises of Prezzo, on the ground floor, and The Dining Room, on the upper floors, at 59 High Street.
Planning and licensing permissions have been granted.
Documents filed as part of the licensing application show space for 118 diners , in a seven-day-a-week operation, 11am – midnight.
The chain did have to make some changes to how it wanted the front of the building to look, following comments from the borough’s conservation officer. (Not unusual for signage applications in the Reigate Town Centre Conservation Area.)
Nando’s are recruiting for a number of roles at the new premises.
The chain has over 400 restaurants in the UK, having been founded in South Africa in 1987.
