Pedestrian dies in Banstead after collision

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian died in Banstead on Friday evening (1 February).

Emergency services were called to a collision between a pedestrian and a silver Mazda in Banstead High Street (close to Waitrose and Subway) at 6.30pm.

Sadly the pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was declared dead at the scene. His family have been informed.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision, or who may have dashcam, helmetcam or CCTV footage from the location in the moments leading up to the incident.   Anyone with information is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101 (999 in an emergency) or online, quoting reference PR/45190011614.
