Police investigate robbery at Morrisons in Reigate

Surrey Police have been investigating after an armed robbery took place at the Morrisons supermarket in Reigate on Saturday afternoon, 22 June.

Police said on Saturday that the suspects, believed to be four men, entered the Bell Street store around 12.40pm and threatened a member of staff before taking a large quantity of spirits.

The men are said to have then left the store via the emergency exit, pushing people out of the way as they made their escape, and are believed to have driven off in a silver saloon vehicle.

Police issued a description of the four male suspects:

  • black, 32 years, of a slim build with long black hair and wearing a black tracksuit.
  • white, aged in his 20s to 30s with light blonde hair and wearing a white tee-shirt and blue jeans.
  • white, 40-50 years, 5ft 10 tall, of a large build, with grey hair and wearing a multi-coloured tee-shirt and jeans.
  • white.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of robbery shortly after the incident and as of Saturday afternoon were in custody, with a search continuing for the other suspects.
