Pupils and staff at Dunottar School last week raised nearly £700 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity with a “bad hair” day.

Students at the Reigate school donated money – or toys – to wear their own clothes to school and compete with each other’s wild hair efforts.

Dunottar Parent Teacher Association also organised a break-time cake sale to help bring in funds.

Maths teacher LucyAnne Chessell spearheads the school’s fundraising and said its charity committee recently voted overwhelmingly for Great Ormond Street Hospital as their charity for this term.

“A few students at Dunottar have benefitted from the excellent care that Great Ormond Street has been able to offer”, she added.

A total of £670 was raised from the day.
