Reigate firm offers free app coding lessons during lockdown

A Reigate-based app development agency is offering aspiring developers free online lessons on how to build iOS and Android apps.

Sonin, located in Bell Street, says participants will be taught by the firm’s developers how to build an app from scratch, at a comfortable pace via the Internet.

Paul Jarrett, managing director, said: “We appreciate that a lot of people are currently finding themselves at home without work and wanted to offer them a silver lining, which is why we’ve decided to offer a free coding course.

“Not only will this give people a valuable set of skills to add to their CVs, but also give them the edge on other potential candidates for when things return to normal – which they absolutely will.

“If you or someone you know have ever wanted to learn to code and build iOS and Android apps, we would love to hear from you.”

More information on the free course is on the Sonin website.  No previous coding experience is required.

Sonin was founded in 2009 by Mr Jarrett, and also now has offices in Edinburgh and Paris.

Clients of the business have included Sheilas’ Wheels (insurance), Chancellors (estate agency), Sungard (finance), Schwartz (herbs & spices), and the British Museum.
