Waterstones’ new bookshop in Bell Street, Reigate, will open on Saturday 31 March (2018).
Family-friendly events will be held on the day to celebrate the occasion, including an Easter egg hunt, storytime and crafts.
Customers are also invited to enjoy a glass of wine and cake as they browse and meet staff.
Waterstones Reigate will be run by a bookselling team of three, managed by James Whitton. He said:
“Having grown up very close by, I have long thought that Reigate would be a fantastic place to open a Waterstones and so I am absolutely delighted to be part of the bookselling team that is making it happen.
We will be working hard to ensure our bookshop is a great addition to the shopping experience in the town and we are looking forward to getting to know everyone and to sharing our love for books and much else besides.”
An events programme at the new store will include reading groups, book launches and weekly children’s activities.
Located in the former Knights department store building, the branch will stock over 10,000 titles across fiction, non-fiction and children’s books.
