Witness appeal after fatal collision in Castlefield Road, Reigate

A man died on Monday evening (25 March) after his car collided with a company’s signboard in Castlefield Road, Reigate, and police are appealing for information.

The incident happened at 8.20pm, near the Town Hall, and involved a blue Skoda.

Surrey Police said on Monday night:

“The driver, a man in his 50s from Redhill, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

No other cars or persons were involved.”

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the car’s driving beforehand, or who has any dashcam footage. They should call Surrey Police on 101 or use an online form, quoting PR/ P19067931.

On Tuesday morning all lanes of the road had been reopened.
