Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was involved in two collisions on the M25 on Friday morning (8 May).
Officers were called to the clockwise section between junctions 7 and 8 shortly after 6am, following a collision between a black Vauxhall Astra, a nearside bridge barrier and a lorry.
The car driver was then involved in a subsequent collision with another lorry in lane three. He was taken by road ambulance to hospital: as of Friday afternoon his injuries were not described as life-changing.
An air ambulance did land, but was not used.
The motorway was closed clockwise until around 11.50am to allow the air ambulance to arrive, investigations to take place, and the scene to be cleared.
Surrey Policy said they were grateful to the public for their patience.
Anyone who saw the incident, has dascham or helmetcam footage, or who saw how the Astra or the two lorries were driving in the minutes before the collision, is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting ref PR/P20104194.
