Witness appeal after robbery in St Anne’s Drive, Redhill

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at the Londis shop in St Anne’s Drive, Redhill, on Tuesday evening (8 January 2019).

Police say that at approximately 9.30pm, an unknown man was seen loitering outside the store, before entering and approaching the cashier.

Detective Constable Alice Button, who is investigating the incident, said:

“The suspect demanded alcohol and cigarettes from the cashier who he was threatening with a weapon.

The man is believed to have turned right, and then right again after he left the store on a pushbike.

If you think you may have seen this man leave the store, or in the area nearby, please come forward.”

The suspect is described as white, wearing dark clothing with a white logo on the left trouser leg, a balaclava, and carrying an Adidas backpack.
